Why stage my home?  
Statistics show that homes that have been staged sell as much as 50% faster and for 6-7% more than homes that have not been staged.  Although statistics aren’t available for the staging of vacation rentals, it would stand to reason that they would follow a similar trend.  An improved product leads to a higher demand for that product at an increased price.            

How much does it cost?
As the homeowner, you are in control of the cost of home staging, and we at A Place at the Beach Home Staging are committed to working with you and keeping within your budget.  However, for a comparatively small investment, the rewards of home staging can be huge.  Some homeowners have reported returns on their investments of as much as 343%!!  Whatever amount you choose to spend, that kind of return makes the investment worthwhile.  And, whatever amount you choose to invest will more than likely be significantly less that the first price reduction you are asked to make on your home when it doesn’t show as well others. 

Can I stage my own home?
If you own a property in the Outer Banks, you probably don’t live there.  The time, energy, and money it would take for you to travel to the Outer Banks, and do the necessary work within a limited time period to properly stage and photograph the home would probably exceed the cost of having A Place at the Beach Home Staging do the work.  In addition, it is very difficult for homeowners to look objectively at their own homes.  Bringing in another person who is not emotionally connected to the home and has a fresh set of eyes is an important step in marketing your home to potential buyers or renters.  Remember, the goal is to make the home appeal to the masses, and often that takes the perspective of a neutral party.
